Error: The record home email with the value already exists
Summary: In ORC we have a candidate that had 2 profiles. One profile had an email address @icloud.com and the duplicate profile had an email address @iclould.com (with an extra L). Recruiter merged the two candidate profiles but ORC retained the wrong email address.
When we try to change the email address to the correct email on the only record visible from Candidate Search we get an error message "Error: The record Home Email with the value [email protected] already exists. Enter a unique value. (Per-1531945)".
Since we are unable to change the email address to remove the extra L from @iclould.com we aren't able to send the candidate his offer. We've extended the offer but it's going to the wrong/incorrect email. Please advise on how to change the email? This is an external candidate and not an ex-employee candidate.
