Name Change Approval Flow - Check for Attachment

We want to create an approval workflow that checks if an attachment has been included when changing name in Personal Details.

We have tried using Task.attachment.size() and Task.attachment.empty in BPM Worklist but that does not seem to be working. Is there another way to achieve this?
