Help creating a table to use as BIP Bursting delivery data source

I am seeking additional documentation or white papers describing how to create a table for use as a delivery Data source for bursting with more detail. I have read the Oracle Fusion Middleware Data Modeling Guide for Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher, 12c Section 7-13.

Any walk-through guides or video links surrounding this topic would be a great help.

Specifically regarding how to link the parameters to the XML data set for choosing the deliver by and split by elements.

I am also wanting to know if it is possible to create an array and add hard coded data to this table for use as the split by and deliver by elements.
