Logic behind Need-by date and Items Due in self-service receiving

edited Jul 12, 2022 1:39PM in Inventory Management 4 comments

Summary:

What is the intended logic behind the 'Items Due' research field and the Need-by date column in Self-service receiving?

Content (required):

Hi,

As I was doing tests, I noticed that in Self-service receiving:

  • The 'Items Due' search field seems to be based on the 'Promised delivery date' in the PO
  • The 'Need-by date' in the search results seems to be based on the 'Requested delivery date' on the PO

In this case, the user will never see a date in the search results that will correspond with their search criteria.

What is the logic behind those fields? Why are they not based on the same field in the PO? Is there any way to show a search criteria and a result for the date that will be coordinated?

Howdy, Stranger!
