Edit Button on Notifications

Edit button on notifications to be removed.

We are seeing an edit button on workflow notifications. It is seen but not enabled for employees. But it is active and can be used to personalize the page by admins. We would like to know if this edit button is driven by a role or is it part of the template layout which can be modified to remove the Edit button from the template completely.
