Is there functionality to issue valid substitute components only on Work Order

Summary:

We have valid substitutes defined for component items on Work Order. We expect to see these substitutes at time of work order component issue (in case primary component is not available). Please advise if this functionality is available in Cloud. We see in Doc ID 2536704.1 that there is Enhancement request and wanted to confirm that item substitution functionality on WO is not available as of now. Workaround suggested is to delete the existing component and add manually add valid substitute component on Work Order.
