Way of Vanity URL VB

Summary:

I already set custom URL in VB setting, for example apps.example.com. This is working,

But my colleague asked me to use Load Balancer to vanity the VB URL is more better.

I had tried to set Load balancer for VB by putting public IP of VB as backend server but showing Critical status.

So I not sure should I continue to spend time on Load balancer or keep on VB custom URL?
