Can a PO line be canceled if there is a receipt against it?

Hi Team,

We wanted a cancel a PO line if there is a receipt against it. We need to cancel a line on a PO that has been received - it will not be invoiced as it was paid for with a credit card. We cannot reverse the receipt as the stock item has been issued to a Work Order that is now closed, from a prior period.

We were hoping to just have this verified. Please let us know
