Changeing behaviour of enhanced workbench - auto-select first record

Summary: When opening a workbench, the first record in the main tab is selected - can that be changed?

Content (required): When I open an enhanced workbench the first record in the main tab is selected. Scrolling down to look for a record in that grid and performing an action often has the consequence, that first record still is selected and will be included in the action. Can this behaviour be changed in the way that NO record is selected when opening an enhanced workbench?
