Customizing Alert based Email Notifications

Summary:

We would like to be able change/customize/modify the name of the email sender for our alerts. I know we cannot modify actual email address, but it would be nice to be able to modify the name.

Content (required):

When an Alert is generated, the email address it comes from is something like hdok.fa.sender@workflow.mail.blahblah. Is there a way we could attach this email address to a nickname? We could use just one (e.g. the name of our internally brand) but it would be GREAT if it could be dynamic and take the name of the group affiliated with the alert (e.g. Recruiting, Benefits, etc.)
