Report with traffic lights issue

The following applies to Reporting in Planning, but maybe it also applies to Narrative.

I have created a report with traffic light symbols, using conditional formatting.

For conditions meeting the criteria, 'Replace Text' is on, For the replacement text, I'm using a dot symbol, copied from MS Word. It is coloured Red, Amber or Green via the font colour setting, according to the condition being met.

The issue is that the dot display is too small in the same font size as the report (Liberation Sans - Arial 12). Increasing the font size of the dot results in the row height of the report expanding. This creates a problem because the records are too far apart/too much white space.
