Is there a way to collect customers for OPS source through FBDI

Summary:

We are moving from an EBS(external) source system to OPS source system and would like to collect all the entities from OPS(fusion) source

However, For customers we group multiple customers and create a customer group which we load in planning as a customer.

As per Oracle documentation Customer is a global entity and global entities are source system independent, So can we load our custom customer in Oracle planning cloud using FBDI for an external system but create the plan for OPS source.

We did a POC and the customers loaded via FBDI are available in the OPS plan but we would like to know if it will break any functionality
