Is there any way to interact with a Planning Attribute within Data Exchange/Management, Data context

We have one cube with data against Dimension A, with level-0 planning attribute information against it.

We want to integrate data from this cube to another cube, where Dimension A exists, but the level-0 attribute is now Dimension B.

Is there any way to pull the Planning attribute from a member into Data Management in a Data context? I know you can assign attributes using the metadata load functionality, but that's not what we need.

Or do I need to hold it as a mapping table within DM?
