How to Use Packaging Start Dates

Are some of your students packaged in Student Financial Planning for Academic Years that you did not intend to? We have seen some recent confusion with how the Packaging Start Date is used in SFP, and we wanted to share our best practices with this community.

Based on your school’s academic year model, the system will use either the Program Start Date or Academic Year, and Course data in the SAFI when creating the student's Academic Years in the package. Additionally, the system will account for whether a Packaging Start Date has been sent. We have seen recent unintended downstream impacts when schools are sending in Packaging Start Dates without associating it to a specific program code or enrollment.
