What is the ideal way to create Schedule to Accommodate Lunch Break (Non paid) Through Time Card

Summary:

What is the ideal way to create Schedule to Accommodate Lunch Break (Non paid)

Content (required):

We created a Bi Weekly Time Schedule with shifts as 8-12 and 1-5 and leaving 12-1 as lunch break.

But this impacts Managers and Admins while applying Absence(UOM: hours) through Time card since it overlaps with the non work period which is lunch break.

Eg: If time card is to be created with an Absence for 5 hours and when they try to put Start time as 8:00 AM and End Time as 2:00 PM, system throws below error. It expects two entries without overlapping with the Lunch break.

Howdy, Stranger!
