Summary:

What is required to be performed after a Substitution Variable Change?

Content (required):

What is required to be performed after changing a Substitution Variable (SubVar)? I tell my clients to perform a Database Refresh.

However, they have an issue if a report was recently ran, they change the SubVar, Perform a Database Refresh, and then run the report, it pulls the old SubVar. What is recommended from the user to do? Log out and Log in? Reload Navigation Flow? Clear Browser Cache?

But back to the original question. Is a Database Refresh needed after a SubVar change? I have read that a Database Stop and Start is required for SubVars to work in the Formulas in ASO cubes. But what about BSO cubes, Calc Manager Rules, Forms, ect.

Howdy, Stranger!
