My Team Position View and the Workers Section

Good afternoon,

Can someone explain the rules for who is displayed in the Workers section within My Team when the view is defaulted to Position? We have an example whereby manager A manages 6 other positions. Manager A's position is managed by Manager B but manager A's assignment is line managed by manager C.

When manager B opens My Team, manager A is displayed in the Position section as expected. When manager C opens My Team, manager A is not displayed in the Position section, as expected, but they are also not displayed in the Workers section.
