End Dating a Department - Impacts to Projects Module

If our HR team end dates a Department, does it have impacts to costs sitting in the Project Module?

We are still working out the kinks now that HR and ERP is integrated. The Projects Module uses Departments for things like Expenditure Org, Project Owning Org, etc. If a department is end dated and there were still costs sitting in an open project, what are the implications?
Will they reflect in Manage Costs?
Will they report correctly still in delivered or custom OTBI reports that include fields for Expenditure Org?
If the costs are capital will they get included in the capital asset correctly?
