Disable some lines in an external forecast

Let's say we have 10 lines in an external forecast (Same forecast designator). We need to disable 6 lines out of these by reloading the forecast with the disabled date populated in past. Is this supported?

I have tested but the forecast lines are not disabled. What could be the root cause?
