Is there any way to make calculation process faster?

Summary of the question:

Customer is using the best index and there is no way to make it better. Without changing the index and not modifying the functions is there any way to make run calculation process faster than it is? By meaning "faster" making the process on hour scale.Ex: a simple process called "Business Unit" runs around at least 8 hours and it is way too long. They are aiming it to reduce process time to 1-2 hours.
