Resend initial email to pending worker as email address was wrong

We have had an example of a line HR putting the wrong email in a pending workers record and the initial emails were then not sent to the person. Once the HR person realised and corrected it - they didnt know how to get that initial welcome email resent. The initial email had the user log on name in it - (restrictions with tokens on alerts). Can anyone help me figure out what to do to regenerate the welcome to the company the Notification to be sent when a new account request is processed
