Cloning an environment

Hi, Can anyone provide me an insight on cloning an environment. I need to make TEST instance to be a replica of PROD instance.

My questions :

(1) With the target url being TEST instance url , How will cloning work when TEST instance already has some data in it.

(2) Will the existing data in TEST instance be overwritten automatically by PROD data including forms, calculation manager rules / scripts and Essbase data?

(3) Does the existing data in TEST instance need to manually cleared before cloning ?
