Assigning Line Manager Role to Employees Without Direct Report

Currently, the only option we have is to use the Manager with Direct Report field to assign the line manager role. However, there are many scenarios that a manager may have lost their direct report and is still recruiting for their team and they need to have access to My Team (Hiring) to continue hiring for their team.

The other option is to use Job or Grade or Position, but we have too many of those cannot use to auto provision the role.

The new option is to use the custom assignment field to assign the role however, it’s a new DFF and lot of maintenance.
