ASO Time Balance Skip 0s

Account with Time Balance: Balance and Skip: Missing And Zeros is not resolving as expected in parent Periods in ASO cube.

We have a stat account that is set as Time Balance: Balance Skip Missing And Zeros. In our BSO cube, this resolves as expected. In the ASO cube, it does not appear to actually skip 0 values. Is this intended behavior? I assume it has to do with how the ASO cube manages incremental slices of data as Smart Pushes execute. If I merge all data into the main slice, the value becomes #Missing and it resolves accordingly. Wanted to know if this is expected (from people that know ASO way better than I)
