HCM Connections - restrict tile access

edited Jan 11, 2023 5:51PM in Connections 1 comment

Summary:

Question - Is there a method to restrict access to the Connections tile, so it is viewable for only some users, but not viewable for other users?

Content (required):

For example, would ideally like user of Business Unit A to see the Connections tile within their 'Me' section. But Business Unit B should not be able to see this Connections tile at all.

From my awareness, as soon as the profile value HCM_CONNECTIONS_ENABLED is set to Y, the Connections tile is instantly generated, for all users, across all Business Units.

Can see how to configure our custom Employee role, in order that functionality within Connections is nullified e.g. cannot search for employees. But to completely hide the tile, based upon Business Unit value would provide flexibility, and control over roll out.

Howdy, Stranger!
