Multiple formats required for a single profile

I tried to search (in case this was covered previously) but I didn't succeed

Content (required):

The business has a requirement to perform multiple reconciliation methods for the same code combination (ie. Profile string). I can see that multiple methods cannot be combined on the same format and also profiles cannot be duplicated (using a attribute/name to differentiate them) to map to either format. Is there any other option other than creating new profiles to avoid breaking the principle of Profile = GL Code Combination
