Line manager not receiving time card approval notification

Line Manager-1 has delegated the timecard approvals to another Line Manager-2 ( under user account -approval delegations). Does this mean Line Manager-1 will no longer have access to timecards ? Line Manager-2 needed to approve the timecards themselves but Line Manager-2 didn't have access to timecards, I even went in and removed the approval delegation but Line Manager-2 was still not able to access her team's timecards. Please advise.

Just an FYI- I added back the delegation for Line Manager-1 for the next pay period.
