Ability to exclude Learners on certain Absence Type from recieving alert notifications

Summary:

Client assigns the courses to the employees who are on Long term leaves so that they are maintained as a part of initiative renewal. We are trying to enable resource alert notifications to all learners except the ones on leave. The leave status is tracked only by Absence Type added at Person Assignment level.

I'm getting error when trying to add the following filter:

Resource: learnerLearningRecords/assignedToPersonDetails

${absenceType}<>"Medical Leave Unpaid-S"

How can we exclude people on leave of absence from recieving notification?
