How to mass import work definition names?

Summary:

Need to mass import work definition names before using the Import Work Definitions FBDI

Content (required):

For an implementation. Our customer has to create work definitions from scratch. For the pilot plant, they have about 800 work definitions to create.

They are ok using the Import Work Definitions FBDI. However, the work definition names have to be created beforehand to use it (the internal name has to be referenced).

Now, it is quite complicated to create one work definition name at a time. Is there any workaround for that?

There is a note on My Oracle Support (Doc ID 2849284.1) which suggests the use of the REST API for the work definitions. But it looks like there is no post method.
