How to break (stop tracking) a LPN After Receiving and before Put away?

Content (required):

Use Case: During Receiving, it is preferred to scan the LPN (with various items on it) so that system automatically knows the item/qty received after scanning. However once that is done, items are put away into different locations and LPN is no longer required. Can we abolish LPN before put away? Or is there any other recommendation to make this process smooth, other than breaking the whole LPN into a few smaller ones, each per item?
