How can I set an item's image as primary using and FBDI load or other means?

I am using an FBDI loader for my items, but there is no way to set the image as primary so it appears in the SSP area when a user is shopping. How are others accomplishing this? I'm aware of the agreements option but was hoping there was another way as well.
