Several fields have been migrated into one field and need to split into separate columns into OTBI

Content (required):

We need to pick the department from the code combination below.

For eg: if it is PTA01.1100001. then I need to pick only 240 which is our department field which is after the 4th '.'

How can I achieve this in OTBI?
