Is Work center and Asset work center different?

If yes, is there any association that needs to be done for Work Order?

While mapping Cost centers to Work centers for SLA setups, I can see the MFG Work centers in Asset Work center Source dropdown. However, there is no value populating against the Asset work center while creating work order.

Please help me to clear the concepts.
