Is there no way to get 'what got changed' in a transaction?

Summary:

Is there no way to get 'what got changed' in a transaction?

Content (required):

Hi All,

Greetings!

This question is about the self service transactions like Transfer, Promotion, and equivalent data changes.

There is data in terms of payload in transaction tables, but there is no way at all to get what all are the fields for which there is change made in the transaction.

e.g.

If there is a transfer transaction in which the change is made for the employee's position, grade, location and salary, there is no way to find easily the fields modified and XML payload includes all the fields and one cannot figure out 'only those fields' which got changed. Is there any concrete way to get 'what got changed' in a transaction?

Howdy, Stranger!
