Summary: What could be the real-life business scenario (s) where one would make use of periodic capital events functionality provided by Oracle as against running Generate Asset Lines directly without using capital events?

Content (required): Unable to decipher the real-life business scenario (s) wherein periodic capital events would be very useful to be implemented. Understand what the Oracle documentation says like grouping of costs and assets on the basis of expenditure item through date and DPIS through date and recurring capitalization etc. But this can even be done by directly running generate asset lines process which also has PA through date and DPIS through date (assuming EI date is same as PA through date). Also, periodic capital events will not be automatically generated. Ultimately, one has to run the Create Periodic Capital Events
