Impact and use of setting a BU as primary while setting up the Contracts Organisation.

I am unable to find any documentation or resources regarding the impact of a primary BU in the contracts organization page (Screenshot attached below).

The only documentation regarding it states that the first BU associated with a resource organisation will be set as primary but client would like to know whats the impact and where this setting will be used.
