Global Access Groups for 3rd Party course integration - restrict access contractors

Summary:

I need help understanding how to use Global Access Groups for 3rd Party course integration. I am reading through many threads on Access Groups and Default settings and I am not clear on how to restrict access to 3rd party content brought in through the integration process. It seems like the comments suggest going to the course level to manage and I was hoping their were a setting I could use without going course by course after the courses have been imported. It could be a large amount of courses to update one at a time.

I have analysis report audiences built - I have limited licenses on our 3rd party content therefore, trying to not have to set up access per course. Just trying to limit access to contractors/contingent workers. Am I even using the right method or procedure trying to use Global Access Groups?
