select single value in variable is lost in case of idle timeout

Summary:

Hi Experts

I have come across a scenario where in after user selects some value from select single while filling the form and doesn't fill other fields or leaves the screen idle for few minutes (more than 2 minutes) and then after sometime user fills other fields then we are noticing that the value holding the selected item in select single component is becoming 0 for number and null in case of string.

Please help how to overcome this issue. Is this possible or valid issue ?
