HTML in Excel template

How to get Excel to render HTML as code and not new rows

Content

In our LearnCenter we have a lot of courses with long, detailed descriptions formatted with HTML so they show up nicely on the page.  We also have a lot of clients who need custom BI report templates for various reasons.

My issue is that Excel automatically interprets HTML in the report output, and it adds multiple rows to accommodate the course description, which makes the data very human-readable but not machine-readable, which is what I need.

This is what I'm getting:

Course ID Course Name
