FCCS Approval Unit not working for Mass Promotion with alternative hierarchy

Summary:

Alternative hierarchy is not supported with Approval Unit

Content (required):

We have to allow mass promotion of specific entities in the approval process using alternative hierarchy (assuming main hierarchy has to be flat).

The steps followed below:

1. Creation Alternative hierarchy

2. Creation of Approval Unit

3. Selecting the alternative hierarchy, the entities are not displayed under the parent member

Oracle development answered the alternative hierarchy is not supported currently.

Any suggestions for approaching the same use case without using alternative hierarchy and maintain the main hierarchy flat?
