Calendar events defined at geography are not working for weekly working hours at assignment

Hi Experts,

We are storing the working hours for all the employees in a weekly working hour pattern as opposed to work schedules. But, this is causing them to ignore the calendar events and allow employees to book holidays on public holidays. Is there any setup required to look at the calendar events and consider the calendar events?
