SummarySmartView Error Message not meaningful
We have a constant issue with SmartView. We create a SmartView file, it works perfectly fine. We close the file, re-open it and change the date to the next month (nothing else in the file structure charges) and receive the Essbase Error (1020098) Duplicate Name Found.... error message. Now, the file worked previously and nothing changed yet we receive this message every time we use the file.
The work-around we figured out was to copy/paste row headers and columns from the file that worked into the new file that doesn't work and that fixes the error. It is not acceptable and I'm sure Oracle didn't develop a product that would require users to spend hours to copy/paste rows and columns in order to make SmartView work. Its not too Smart, is it??
