How to use lower of clause in REST API query parameter for publicworkers

I have created one application which is making use of public workers REST API, but the email id of logged in user is coming in lower case but in public workers API its a case sensitive. Please help me how to add lower () clause to make the comparison or check case insensitive like in below. Please help.
