Suspended Manager (Maternity Leave) is not skipped in Position Hierarchy
Summary:
Hi everyone,
I wanted to check if anyone has a good working solution for managers that are temporarily suspended (any leave of absence actually). How do you re-assign their reports and fix the position hierarchy?
We do not expect any magic, just that the next manager up the ladder would replace the current manager. Otherwise employees will see a "wrong" manager for months, and approvals will not be assigned correctly.

We tried several solutions, but there is not really a ... good working solution.
- Newly assign all the positions to the new manager - this does not reflect our actual team-structures, it would only be a workaround to make the system work. And we would need to do the re-assigning again after the employee comes back (which might be after 2 months already). So much work, especially for managers with big teams
