An ATO item configuration done inside a production work order instead of a sales order

Hello wizards. We are working on an M2C with an automotive customer. The automobile configuration is a critical process for the customer. It heavily uses a native PeopleSoft configuration functionality to create configured items directly in production (work order) prior to linking the sales order. In this context, there are three possibilities (cases): 1) After production, the final assembly (car) is stored and later associated with a sales order configured by the dealership or commercial team; 2) during the production of the configured item, the commercial team links a configured sales order directly to the production order by options matching.
