Hide Edit button on HR login impacting ESS

I'm trying to hide Edit button on My Client Groups - Contact Info - Home Phone.
Added EL expression to hide based on a role on Edit rendered
#{row.bindings.PhoneType.selectedValue.lookupCode!='W1' and !securityContext.userInRole['XYZ_VIEW_PERSON_READ_ONLY']}
This is causing edit button hidden on Employee self service Me- Contact Info as well.
Is there an EL or approach to check the UI navigation like worker or HR and hide based on the navigation.
Any help is appreciated!
