Is there a way to transfer additional information from Planning to Planned Work Orders?

Summary:

Ability to transfer Information Work Order while releasing planned order from Supply Planning

Content (required):

We have a requirement for a Supply planner to capture handbook information which is a set of number (to be selected from list of values)while releasing a planned order.

Also this handbook information should be transferred on to a flex field on the work order created from the planned order.

It seems this is common enough requirement in shop floor operations in China. Please let me know any possible way of achieving this.
