Supply Planning - Maintenance Work Order Demand - excluding Unreleased Work Orders

edited Mar 5, 2023 10:46PM in Supply Chain Planning and Collaboration 3 comments

Summary:

Supply planning of materials can include maintenance work orders as demand. See Plan Demands from Maintenance Work Orders (oracle.com).

Unlike Manufacturing work orders, where Unreleased work orders should be included, otherwise the calculation would suggest another work order (see Plan Demands from Maintenance Work Orders (oracle.com)), Maintenance work orders are only used as demand of the materials.

In our organisation 'Unreleased work orders' have not been scheduled, so users want to ignore them for demand. Otherwise, we may buy materials for a work order that may not occur for a long time, or may not even occur at all. For our organisation, we only want to include Released work orders in demand.
