Not able to locate employee in candidate search

We hired an employee directly in Core HR using the direct Hire an Employee action. This test employee is currently active. After the employee was hired, we went and searched in ORC for their internal candidate record in candidate search but could not find the record.

I ran the process Load and Index Candidates with indexing mode set to upgrade and once finished I also then ran Maintain Candidates and Job Requisitions for Search, but this did not resolve the issue.
