NSG on VM database

Hi all

I created a database on a VM , on a public subnet. The security list of the subnet allows ssh from everywhere ( 0.0.0.0/0) so i created an NSG for the database in order to connect to ssh only from an internal server.

i apply the NSG to the database and I see at the DB server attempts to connect to ssh from the internet

  • The NSG applies only to the database? nor the server ??
  • should i modify the security group of the subnet in order to restrict ssh ??
